Storyweb

“Thanks for Story Web – it was fantastic! We had a great time weaving wool and stories…It was a great day and one that I’m proud to have been part of!”

Sue Matthews, Children’s & Young People’s Librarian

The children’s area of the library was transformed into a giant web in which we told and shared stories. Throughout the day dozens of children (not to mention several parents) enjoyed throwing balls of wool around to create the web in which they then listened to stories told by our fine Storytellers as well as attaching luggage tags to the web on which they had written or drawn their own tales. A fun day had by all with several York stories captured to write up as well as children enrolled onto the summer reading challenge.
